Yale University produced the notorious gay-basher Maggie Gallagher of the National Organization for Marriage. Gallagher's contempt for LGBT human beings now extends even to protesting their marriages on the day they are getting married. We might think of Gallagher as the Fred Phelps of Yale.
Or, we might think that Yale right at this moment has a Phelps-like figure right on its faculty. Dr. Paul Amble is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. He is also the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Chief Forensic Psychiatrist.
Dr. Amble is frightfully well-connected in professional gay-bashing circles. His sister is Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, who sometimes gives him "permission" to talk to the media, apparently as a sort of proganda minister for her presidential campaign. In a recent New York Times article, Dr. Amble said that in her ignorance-fueled, militant political gay bashing, Bachmann has simply been doing "what she thought was right."
At present, you will search in vain for any public statement from Dr. Amble reflective of a scientific understanding of homosexuality. Were Dr. Amble only a propagandist for the Bachmann for President campaign, that would be one matter. He is however a key figure at the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction. It is urgent and essential that the media be able to report on whether Dr. Amble accepts LGBT human beings and supports their equality. If he does not, then, particularly in light of his public statements in support of his sister's brass-knuckled political gay bashing, it will be absolutely impossible for LGBTers to feel safe around him or to have confidence in his carrying out his job duties without prejudice against them.
It is, furthermore, worrisome that Yale University has on its faculty a psychiatrist who refuses to clarify his understanding of homosexuality and his baseline attitude towards LGBT human beings. This reporter e-mailed him at his Yale address, hoping to learn whether he had a scientific understanding of homosexuality. Turns out, Dr. Amble answers no questions without the Bachmann for President campaign's permission, and the campaign evidently isn't permitting him to comment on whether he has a scientific understanding of homosexuality. URGENT UPDATE: A commenter on an Advocate article alleges that Dr. Amble practices reparative "therapy." This could, or could not be true. Remember that before being caught in a sting, Marcus Bachmann lied about whether his clinic engaged in the fraudulent "treatment."
Yale University President Richard Levin did not respond when asked whether his school endorses or discredits Michele Bachmann's idea that calling homosexuals "gay" comes "from Satan," which she said at the end of a very long lecture at the EdWatch National Education Conference in 2004.
To ask Yale President Richard Levin whether Maggie Gallagher's alma mater has an enlightened view of LGBTers, write to him at Richard.Levin@Yale.Edu To ask Connecticut Department of Mental Health Commissioner Patricia Rehmer whether Dr. Amble has a scientific view of LGBT human beings, write to her at Pat.Rehmer@po.state.ct.us And to request that Dr. Amble go on the record with his attitude towards gay human beings, write to him at Paul.Amble@Yale.Edu

RUBEN DIAZ, SR., BLINDED BY SHEER HATE
by Scott Rose
The asshole Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz, Sr. is not satisfied with having incited hoards of gay-bashing haters to discrimination and violence in May. He now is in a conspiracy with NOM's whores for bigotry to protest gay human beings' love with his hellish hate, even going so far as to urge the virulently anti-LGBT bigot Archbishop Timothy Dolan to join him in protesting love.
I called the bigoted asshole's office and asked "Why is Senator Diaz giving priority to protesting love instead of to fighting poverty in the Bronx?"
The vicious bigoted asshole's receptionist told me "Because Senator Diaz is a Reverend, and he is bound by the Bible."
There you have it. The malicious anti-LGBT Ruben Diaz, Sr. thinks it is more important to carry out Bible-based gay-bashing than it is to follow the Bible's directions to help the poor.

JOIN ME IN CALLING MAGGIE GALLAGHER A HATEFUL WHORE
by Scott Rose
The deviously named, viciously anti-gay National Organization for Marriage and its head whores, Maggie Gallagher and Brian Brown, will stop at nothing to fan the flames of anti-LGBT bigotry in order to stimulate donations to their vile hate group. These people are hookers for hate, base whores.
NOM has announced an intention to "protest" the issuing of marriage licenses to gay New Yorkers through their latest money hiding scam Let the People Vote. With this move, NOM has proven it is in a category with Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church.
It is not legitimate to protest the issuing of marriage licenses. The victims of this harassment are not only those applying for the marriage licenses. As has been manifest in umpteen ways, countless heterosexual parents of gay people, and brothers and sisters of gay people, and friends of gay people, et cetera, take joy from their friends' and relatives' personal love commitments and want to see them honored with equality. When a gay couple marries, they become a loving part of the entire circle of their two respective families. This love is to be celebrated. Hateful protests of this beautiful big circle of love are just that; hateful.
LGBT Americans should understand that every time they enter into point-by-point debates over their equality with an anti-LGBT bigot, they are validating the bigot and allowing themselves to be harassed by that bigot. Formulating a definition of anti-LGBT hate speech is not difficult; Anything less than acceptance of and support for the equality of one's LGBT fellow citizens is anti-LGBT hate speech. Gallagher relentlessly engages in obviously unacceptable anti-LGBT hate speech, as a strategy for stimulating monetary donations to her anti-LGBT hate group. What other minority has to suffer this level of constant attack in America today? Any person straight or gay who does not comprehend that Gallagher's anti-LGBT hate speech is far more offensive and dangerous than the use of mere curse words needs to rethink the matter.
Over the past few months, I have been conducting an experiment with one of NOM's head whores, whom I contacted using these email addresses: maggie@imapp.org mailto:maggiegallagher1960@gmail.comSometimes, I sent her simply a question, for example; "What about LGBT equality do you say takes away from your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness?" When I send such an e-mail, I get no response. Other times though, I will send that very same question, in a profanity-laced e-mail calling Maggie Gallagher a whore. Gallagher then responds, not by answering the pertinent questions but with a goody-two-shoes comment about the curse words.
Yet, nothing about the curse words negates the relevance of the substantive questions. There is nothing about LGBT-equality that takes away from Maggot Gagginwhore's life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. And, it would not be asking too much to ask President Obama to pose the question to Maggot Gagginwhore in public: "What about LGBT-equality takes away from your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness?" In the meantime, though, as many people as possible should be e-mailing Gallagher with the question "What about LGBT-equality takes away from your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness?" No curse words necessary. Just millions of curious people, each demanding to know "What about LGBT-equality takes away from your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness?" If you are on Twitter you can tweet MaggieMarriage and Brian Brown and fill up NOMTWEETS page, too.
I admit, there is for me a heightened personal aspect motivating me to counter Maggot Gagginwhore's vicious anti-LGBT bigotry. In the Lexington, Mass. junior high-schools, I was a target for anti-gay bullies. Many years after I left those schools, Lexington began an equality curiculum, protested by antigay bigoted parents, whose court case was dismissed. Maggot Gagginwhore and others like her have made Lexington a nation-wide example, for a very evil reason. Gagginwhore stokes the flames of bigotry by pointing to Lexington as an example of how parents' "rights" to teach their children to be anti-gay bullies are being taken away. PolitiFacts proved those bigots' allegations to be gay bashing propaganda. It's enough to make me want to fling Maggot Gagginwhore violently up against a locker, or to spit in her face, as was done to me in the Lexington junior high schools. Not that I ever would do such things, but -- we should be mindful that the anti-LGBT bullies still do act out violently against gay victims, sometimes inspired by the Maggie Gallaghers of this world.
Gagginwhore's and Brown(shirts)'s main objective in organizing "protests" of the issuing of marriage licenses is to stimulate donations to their anti-LGBT hate group, donations that they hide violating campaign and lobbying finance laws in states nationwide, as reported by gay presidential candidate Fred Karger, who is not going to let them get away with their alleged felonious crimes . Please join me in calling Gallagher and Brown hateful whores.

Archbishop Dolan Rapes Justice, Bullies Church’s Victims, Scapegoats LGBTers
by Scott Rose
In scapegoating LGBTers, The Catholic Church and New York’s Archbishop Timothy Dolan are succeeding in deflecting public attention from the Church’s totally abhorrent offenses.
In scapegoating LGBTers, The Catholic Church and New York’s Archbishop Timothy Dolan are succeeding in deflecting public attention from the Church’s totally abhorrent offenses.
While alleging that marriage equality would cause the downfall of American civilization – and with that preposterous allegation, fanning the flames of anti-gay bigotry in the populace -- the Church is fighting tooth and nail to evade its accountability to the Church’s child molestation and rape victims.
New York State Senator Thomas Duane has introduced S3333, a proposed law that would lift the statutes of limitations for the prosecution of rape cases, including child rape cases. What decent human being could possibly oppose such legislation? Well, Archbishop Dolan opposed similar proposed laws in Wisconsin. Professor Marci A. Hamilton, holder of the Paul R. Verkuil Chair in Public Law of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law says this about Dolan: “I battled Timothy Dolan in Wisconsin on this issue and I have no doubt that he is waging a vicious attack against justice for victims of priest sex abuse. His success in defeating victims in Wisconsin is likely relevant to his promotion to NYC and his appointment as President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. No one should be fooled by his jolly demeanor. He is both ambitious and merciless when it comes to clergy abuse victims.”
The Catholic Church in recent years has tried to avoid the fullest possible investigations into its repugnant, multi-pronged victimizations of innocent human beings by alleging it had placed adequate internal controls on Church child rape. Yet earlier this year, a mind-boggling ring of child sex abuse in the Philadelphia Archdiocese demonstrated that there is no end even remotely in sight to the Church’s sex abuse scandals. It should be lost on nobody that 37 of the abusive priests mentioned in the Philadelphia indictment cannot be prosecuted because of statutes of limitations.
The Church, Dolan and all of their thuggish associates -- the so-called National Organization for Marriage, the Knights of Columbus, et cetera – are in cahoots to evade accountability to the Church’s child rape victims and to prevent deterrent measures actually adequate to stopping Church-based sex abuse. Those members of the Catholic Church who spit on LGBTers by denying them civil rights should literally mind their own business and pressure their Church to behave responsibly towards its child rape victims. Our elected officials should stop allowing the Church’s thuggish anti-LGBT henchman to operate in the financial shadows. The source of every penny donated to the National Organization for Marriage should be known before June 20, the end of the current New York State Senate session. And by the end of that session, marriage equality should be a reality in New York, no matter what the child-rapist-enabler Timothy Dolan thinks of this urgent civil rights cause.

Tell Senator Joe Addabo he represents more than 300 gay bashing bigots
Forty-two-thousand-three-hundred-and-two Queens, N.Y. voters voted for New York State Senator Joseph Addabo, Jr. in 2008. Four hundred people called Senator Addabo about marriage equality in 2009. He said 74 percent of the people who called him told him they were against marriage equality for gay people. Instead of listening to the 42,302 people who voted for him, he listened to 300 people who called his office and said they were against marriage equality.
Why did 300 people in Queens call Addabo to tell him to vote for bigotry? Were these callers told by their parish priests to call him. Did the Archdiocese of New York tell their parishioners to call him?
Public Religion Research Institute reported in their October 2010 report Less than 1-in-5 Give America's Places of Worship High Marks on Handling Issue of Homosexuality:
A plurality (43%) of Americans say the messages coming from places of worship are negative, and 4-in-10 Americans believe that these messages contribute “a lot” to negative perceptions of gay and lesbian people. One-third (33%) of the public also believe that messages from religious bodies are contributing “a lot” to higher rates of suicide among gay and lesbian youth.
CatholicsNYC's Channel posted these gay bashing videos a few weeks ago.
Maybe the people Addabo heard from were these men who beat up Jack Price on October 8, 2009, 55 days before Senator Joseph Addabo, Jr. voted against marriage equality on December 2, 2009.
Contact Senator Joseph Addabo, Jr.
518-455-2322
718-738-1111
718-497-1630
Make sure he hears loud and clear that he represents all New Yorkers, not just the 300 gay bashers who call his office.

HOW TO TELL NEW YORK STATE SENATORS YOU WANT LGBT EQUALITY NOW
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 6, 2011
HOW TO TELL NEW YORK STATE SENATORS YOU WANT LGBT EQUALITY NOW
A recently-started Facebook page,It Scares Me To Listen to Anti-Equality New York Politicians Because . . . lets gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and their supporters tell New York State Senators how they feel when politicians 1) spew anti-gay hate and/or; 2) fail to support equality legislation.
This page has already attracted comments from some prominent progressives.
Fred Plotkin, a best-selling author and world-recognized authority on Italy, said “New York has been in the forefront of tolerance and respect for all. That, plus its unmatched arts scene and vibrant diversity, is why we live here. Otherwise there are plenty of places we can go to wallow in hatred and ignorance.”
Award-winning Holocaust scholar and author Cara De Silva said “It does scare me to listen to anti-equality talk here in my beloved hometown (or anywhere), but it does much more than scare me. It infuriates me on behalf of friends, other good-hearted and like-minded New Yorkers, and my imperfect, but great city.”
The page is not only for New Yorkers. Florida anti-gay bullying target teenager Luke Herbert, for example, has expressed fear that if a Ruben Diaz endorses statements that gays are “worthy to death,” maybe New York isn’t really a safe haven for LGBT Americans he had previously believed. Luke posted his anti-bullying video to the page, and his mother Dorene Davenport, a New York native, separately said this about irrational anti-LGBT hate and discrimination “We need to stop this and make a difference so there is never ever another teenage suicide again!!!!”
Our aim over the next few days is to fill this Facebook page up with statements that will then be brought to the attention of the media and every member of the New York State Senate. Please help to spread the word! Everyone who is for LGBT equality should LIKE and comment on It Scares Me to Listen to Anti-Equality New York Politicians Because...
